While updating from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2 the update got to about 95% completed when it failed during a message like “Moving content…” and sat for about 40 minutes. After a forced hard reboot it would hang both on normal boot and single user boot (detecting drivers). I resolved this issue by attempting to boot to Safe Mode (Holding Shift) and it began to work.
Failing this I was going to archive and re-install, but I didn’t have to do this.

The dancing leather clad and hairspray stiffened pompadour come curitiously from the Tokyo Rockabilly Club which meets in Yoyogi Park in Tokyo every Sunday. You can see them and other performers by taking the Yamanote line to Harajuku Station. It is well worth it.
